Ingredients

  • 500g free range pork fillet (organic even better)
  • 4 green shallots
  • 2 tablespoons miso paste
  • 1 table spoon mirin
  • Juice 1/2 orange
  • Dash soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil- for flavour
  • Garlic oil for frying
  • Wooden skewers

Instructions

  • 1. Cut your pork fillet into bite sized pieces
  • 2. Mix up the miso, OJ, mirin, soy, sesame oil in a bowl. Coat your pork with the marinade and leave to stand. I usually like to marinade it for about 20minutes
  • 3. Cut your shallots into 3cm pieces
  • 4. Thread your pork and shallots onto the skewers. It should make 8 enough for 2 per person.
  • 5. Cook in a hot pan, griddle pan or BBQ for about 10 minutes, turning regularly depending on the size of the pork pieces. Baste as you go.
